ERBIL, April 25 (AKnews) - Iraqiya List's leader Ayad al-Allawi departed from Kurdistan Region this morning for Baghdad.
The opposition leader left Erbil international airport at 10 a.m. ending a week-long visit, in which he met with Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani and Kurdistan Region President Massoud al-Barzani.
Allawi stayed at the Rotana hotel in Erbil during his visit, and early this morning ended his visit and last meeting there.
Before leaving the hotel, he only commented that his meeting with Kurdish leaders was successful.
On March 9, Iraqiya List claimed there was a plot for killing Allawi, but declined to comment regarding who was behind the plans or their motives.
