Atnaola did not matter the time limit set by senior leaders to withdraw confidence from the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
He has said two days ago that there is abuse of power by the legislature to the executive branch and the other hand there is interference by the other party.

The government considers deleted and additional provisions in the legislation submitted by the Council of Representatives to the House of Representatives for a vote an interference is not justified by the House of Representatives.

The government says that the House of Representatives in March are the tasks of the executive functions of the authority, including the formation of the investigative committee issues a single executive authority shall be investigated.

The leaders agreed in a letter to the four eight demands to be implemented by 17 May to ensure their support for the Maliki government.

The letter says that in case of refusal to abide by the principles and frames of this agreement will take practical steps within a period not exceeding 15 days to conduct a vote of confidence in the government.

Maliki said that "the meeting of Irbil attempt to end the meeting (conference) National ... some who were at the meeting from which they want to target a particular person" in reference to the person.

I must admit that when I first read about the 15 day ultimatum, I thought is was all lip service. Seeing so much attention being paid to this date at least proves it holds a good amount of importance. Now, it remains to be seen what will happen but I'm cautiously optimistic. We shall see.....

Cautiously optimistic...my words exactly. I ask why would they be talking about it every day (for months) and pressing so hard if not to actually follow through with such a crisis and a leader they're against? Hmmm...

I see that this article clearly states that they have until the 17th, but the article "Iraqi MP: Maliki deal selectively with the Constitution" clearly states that they have until tomorrow the 13th.

Anyone know which date is the real date?
