Iraqi Finance: to retract from the application of tariff law in June next

Baghdad, May 28 (Rn) - The Iraqi Ministry of Finance, on Monday, it's past application of the law tariff the end of next June and there is no reverse on the application of this decision despite the request of some parties to wait to apply.
The official said the Information Office of the Minister of Finance Mohammed Zaid, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that "the Ministry of Finance intends to apply the tariff law the end of next June and there is no intention to delay the work it."
He also explained that the law passed by the House of Representatives and became the duty of the application, noting that the ministry and an executive "in the application of what comes before the House of Representatives."
The Ministry of Finance has decided last March to begin the application of tariff end of June next after the futures last year to more than once because of the demand by some countries and traders.
And activating the new tariff law to cancel the old law is the subject by the civil administrator of Iraq after 2003, Paul Bremer, which provides for the payment of 5% tax on all goods imported from outside the country.
