Iraq postpones Shell $12 bln gas deal signing- statement

BAGHDAD, July 11 (Reuters) - Iraq's Oil Ministry said on Monday it postponed the initial signing of a $12 billion deal with Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) and Mitsubishi to capture flared gas at southern oilfields.
The signing of the initial contract was originally scheduled for Tuesday. The ministry did not give a new date in a statement sent out on Monday and oil officials could not be immediately reached for comment.
