Iraqi parliament calls for emergency meeting on the crisis of Syria

Called on the Iraqi Council of Representatives during its meeting today, Sunday, to convene an urgent meeting, attended by the Iraqi ministries concerned, and the intelligence service, to discuss all aspects of the Syrian crisis and its implications on Iraq.
A member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Iraqi parliament, Safia al-Suhail, in a statement, said that the meeting discussed the implications of the Syrian crisis and its impact on the Iraqi community in Syria of all aspects of political, humanitarian, security, military, pointing out that the Committee has called for an emergency meeting with the committees of security and defense, and Alniabaten of Displacement and Migration and other Iraqi ministries and security agencies.
She noted that the meeting also included contacts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Iraqi ambassador in Damascus to discuss how to cooperate, to assist and facilitate the procedures for those wishing to voluntary return of Iraqis living in Syria, noting that so far been evacuated 3500 Iraqi land and air.
Suhail stressed that the obstacles facing the Iraqis concerning the review of the Department of Immigration and Passports, as the Syrian authorities do not allow one to leave the territory without this administrative procedure.
