A source in the Iraqi police, on Thursday, that a private security force protection officer arrested Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi and five of his bodyguards during a raid on a home minister in central Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "special security force carried out at noon today, a raid on the home of Finance Minister and leader of the Iraqi List, Rafie al-Issawi Green Zone in central Baghdad, arresting official protection minister, a colonel and five members of the protection ".
The source, who asked not to be named, said "the arrest operation carried out according to the notes issued by the judiciary", noting that "taken away by force the detainees to a security detention centers to conduct the necessary investigations."
The capital Baghdad and other provinces experiencing since last March, an escalation of violence that killed hundreds, including a number of officers and government officials, at a time when the country's ongoing disputes between politicians on the names of the ministers who will baggage security.
