Barzani: Syrian crisis has serious ramifications on Kurdistan

Baghdad (AIN) -The President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani stressed that "Al Qaeda Organization is present in Iraq and coordinates with the branches of the Organization in other Arabic countries including Syria.

Barzani said in a press conference at the Iraqi embassy in Moscow that "The Syrian crisis has serious consequences on the situation in Kurdistan Region," confirming "the Iraqi-Syrian borders are well controlled."

Concerning the Kurdistani-Russian relations, he added "The Russian Gas Prom Company is operating currently in the Region where the company signed a number of important contracts with the KR in recent."

During his current visit to Russia, Barzani is scheduled to meet with top Russian officials including the President, Vladimir Putin. /End/
