Presidency of the Republic of Iraq announced that a meeting of the political blocs, which was supposed to take place on Sunday, will be held on Monday.
This came in a statement received for the presidency, "long" version of it, recalling that he "decided to hold a meeting of leaders and heads of political blocs on the first Monday of August at six o'clock in the evening at the Peace Palace in Baghdad."
The statement continued, "Office of the President will issue the invitations to the gentlemen leaders and heads of political blocs to attend a meeting." And announced that the Iraqi List led by Iyad Allawi, yesterday, the postponement of the meeting of leaders of political blocs, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, until further notice.
A spokesman for the Iraqi List, Maysoon al in an earlier statement that "the postponement of a meeting of leaders of blocs, which was to be held on Saturday," and attributed the cause to "synchronize time with the death of the mother of Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani, which prevents the attendance of the majority of political leaders ".
