BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Kurdish Alliance Mp urged the Iraqi government to be more serious in stopping Iranian bombardment.
MP Mahmoud Othman told Aswat al-Iraq that the Iraqi government should work on terminating Iranian bombardment, otherwise it will receive plenty of criticism.
He pointed out that the parliamentary committee's recommendations are acceptable.
He disclosed that 1000 families immigrated from the area, not 160 as reported.
Parliamentary Security and Defence Commission submitted its report yesterday on the Iranian bombardment of the Kurdish region.
The report recommended activating diplomatic channels, calling the Iranian government for self restraint, respect of Iraqi borders and sovereignty, unconditionally stopping the bombardment, calling the Iranian ambassador to inform him of these recommendations and forming a tripartite committee of the Iraqi, Iranian and Kurdish governments to demand for compensations.
The Iranians claimed that the bombing is against the PJAC fighters who took Iraqi mountains as their refuge.
