Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, urged the Iraqi government to show self-control while dealing with the demonstrators, calling it to “Settle its disputes with Kurdistan region.”
In his second report discussed in the Security Council of the UN over the Iraqi situation, Ki-moon urged “Iraq to show self-control while dealing with the peaceful demonstrations in Iraq.”
He expressed his concerns over “The disturbed relations between Kurdistan Region and the Central Government,” urging them to “Resume talks to settle the disputes according to the constitution and sharing the authority in an flexible way that helps in achieving the political stability.”
Regarding the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations, Ki-moon expressed his pleasure for the development of the mutual relations between the two countries, calling the Iraqi government to adhere to its obligations to be released from the Seventh Chapter of the UN’s Charter.
