Iraqi parliament cancels all vacations of MPs

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Iraqi parliament chairmanship decided to continue holding the regular sessions till next April, 8th.It also decided to cancel all the vacations of the MPs, announcing that it will take the financial procedures against the absent MPs.
A statement by the media office of the parliament reported “The parliament chairmanship decided to extend the period of the parliament’s performance till 8/4/2013.”
“We call on the MPs to abide by the attendance to the regular sessions in order to be able to ratify the important law drafts included in the parliament’s agendas especially the country lives condensed political movement and critical security situation,” the statement added.
The parliament failed one again to hold the regular session of Thursday due to lack of quorum, therefore the session was postponed till next Sunday.
