Discussed the follow-up and coordination department of government at its problems and delays in the examination of food at border crossing points.
A statement by the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers today that the conferees discussed the problems that hinder the examination of food at border crossing points and the reasons that lead to the delay of the goods.
The Assistant Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, "said the draft law on the formation of the border crossing points would solve all the problems and constraints in ports, in addition to the allocation of land for the construction of the laboratory testing centers, and build stores to facilitate the storage and inspect the goods as soon as possible."
He added: "Until the issuance of this law, we hope to find full coordination between the concerned authorities to speed up border ports in the examination of food," adding that the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers will issue guidance to determine the functions of the concerned authorities responsible on the ports.
The meeting was attended by representatives from ministries of health, agriculture, environment, transport and planning, science and technology, trade and foreign affairs, defense and interior and the General Authority for Customs.
