[ltr]Baghdad/Obelisk: Iraqi Foreign Ministry revealed Tuesday, preparations for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's visit to Moscow during the coming period.[/ltr]
[ltr]The Ministry said in a statement that "the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Moscow, Ismail Shafeeq search with the Special Envoy of the President of Russia to the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail boghadanov preparations for the Prime Minister's visit to Moscow."[/ltr]
[ltr]The Ministry did not specify the exact date of the visit.[/ltr]
[ltr]The statement noted that the meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry building between Shafiq weboghadanov, also saw the discussion of joint relations between Iraq and Russia and international issues of common concern.[/ltr]
[ltr]Iraq has signed deals to buy Russian arms worth $ 4.2 billion, and included by Russian reports, MiG 29, 30 attack helicopter Mi-28 and 42 pantsir-S1 and surface-to-air missile systems.[/ltr]
