Held the Electoral Commission for elections conference for media in Arbil in order to communicate and partnership with the media.
The Commission spokesman said Safaa al-Moussawi said in a press statement today: "The media is the foundation substrate which is based on the democratic process, and the Commission needs to partnership with media organizations and civil society organizations active in electoral affairs."
He added, "This conference is designed to communicate with the media and the media, especially during the parliamentary elections of the Kurdistan region," he said, calling on the media to "the application of freedom of opinion and the transfer of information, credibility and professionalism to stand at a distance from everyone."
For his part, Director, Office of Arbil elections Henden Mohammed Saleh, "said the Commission has taken a series of measures to reduce and detection of fraud."
He explained that "the media and journalists a major role in monitoring the elections and the transfer of the facts and information for all, whether candidates or voters."
