Baghdad/ NINA /--Vice President Khodair Khozaii discussed in his office in Baghdad today with the Senior Advisor for the U.S. State Department Bret Magrec and the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad Stephen Bekroft , political developments in Iraq and the region and ways to develop relations between the two countries.
A statement by Khozaii office said : "The Vice President of the Republic stressed during the meeting, " the importance of holding soon in Baghdad the conference of social peace to protect Iraq from internal and external harmful repercussions.
As for his part, the U.S. delegation, asserted the U.S. support for the project of social peace in Iraq and hopes that this project would contribute in support of security and peaceful coexistence , also confirmed support the efforts and initiatives made by Iraq in support of world peace, especially in the Syrian crisis and Iran 's nuclear file " . / End
