600 New Schools Open this Month

Six hundred new elementary and secondary schools have beenn opened this month across Iraq, as part of a national plan to improve education in the country.
The Minister of Education, Mohammed Tamim (pictured), told Al-Shorfa that building the schools cost around 500 billion Iraqi dinars ($429 million), .
He added that an additional 580 schools were being prepared for opening in the next three months.
