Uraybi: Over 150 law makers support Qutaiba Jobouri become Defence Minister

Baghdad (NINA) – Law maker from White Iraqiya bloc, Ahmed al-Uraybi, said that over 150 law makers have agreed on the bloc’s nominee, Qutaiba al-Jobouri, to assume the post of Defence Minister.
The White Iraqiya Media Bureau quoted Uraybi on Saturday, Aug. 13, saying, “The 150 law makers have signed a petition supporting Jobouri to become Minister of Defence.”
Uraybi did not name the blocs that are in support of Jobouri’s nomination; and no bloc as issued a statement in this regards.
It is to be noted that the White Iraqiya bloc has 8 law makers in Parliament and is headed by Hasan al-Alawee, who withdrew for Iraqiya Slate.
It is worth mentioning that the Erbil Agreement gave Iraqiya Slate the right to name the Minister of Defence and for the National Alliance the right to name Interior Minister. / End.
