Hakeem: Iraq is being subjected to a tribulation preparing it for historic role

Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, said that Iraq is being subjected to tribulation that prepares it for a historic role.
A statement issued on Thursday, Nov. 14, by the SIIC quoted Hakeem saying in a remembrance of the Ashura 10, saying that Imam Hussein chose Iraq because he knew that his blood will be shed there because of the Iraqis' feelings, but if he has chosen other than Iraq, his blood would have gone in vain.
Hakeem went on saying that Iraq being tributes to prepare it for big historic roles; such roles require testing, screening and being built.
He added that the case and program of Imam Hussein are not personal; whoever carries heavenly cases does not hold plans of decadence and deviance. / End.
