Ki-moon said during a joint news conference with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said on Monday that "the Iraqi general elections is an important opportunity to enhance the security and political stability in Iraq and another step in the democratic process."
Ki-moon praised the "convergence between Baghdad and Erbil in the distribution of oil wealth and access to the settlement in this aspect."
