On Monday, Iraq has approved a project for building an independent centre for terrorism research to conduct studies in support of the work of security forces and government agencies.
Iraqi government media advisor Ali al-Musawi said, "The cabinet approved a project to create a centre in Baghdad to conduct research and studies and make proposals to help the counter-terrorism efforts all over the country."
Ali al-Musawi also stated that the center, which comprises Iraqi and international experts and retired officers, also would help prepare plans and strategies for combating terrorist groups.
