Baghdad (NINA) – *****The Iraqiya Slate considered charging Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein al-Shehristani, to run the Ministry of Electricity is a violation of the principles of National Partnership.****
Spokesman for Iraqiya Slate, Hayder al-Mulla, told NINA on Wednesday, Aug. 24, “Charging Shehristani, in light of many failures, means firing mercy bullet at the Iraqis’ hopes to enjoy electricity.”
He added, “This violation has two aspects, the first related to management while the second is related to the principle of National Partnership.”
Mulla went on, “With regards to management, Charging Shehristani to run the Ministry of Electricity, means that there is an agreement that the Iraqis ought not to enjoy electricity service, as noted in the previous period. Recent failures in the electricity sector happened with Shehristani’s blessings.”
“As for the second aspect; the principle of National Partnership means nothing to the Prime Minister, because what takes place on the ground represent a flagrant violation of this principle.” He added.
*****Mulla stressed, “Charging Sadoun al-Dulaimi with running the Ministry of Defence and Shehristani with running the Ministry of Electricity, they both are to be run by nominees from Iraqiya, is out of the frames of understanding reached, making Maliki and his party are monopolizing cabinet’s posts.”*****
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has charged Deputy Prime Minister, Husseing al-Shehrastani, to run the Ministry of Electricity, and earlier, he charged Minister of Culture, Sadoun al-Dulaimi, to run the Ministry of Defence.*****
