Minister of science : Iraq plans to launch a satellite for economic purposes
Waltklnogia Science Minister in the Iraqi Government Fares Yousef, Wednesday, his Ministry began to launch a satellite project for economic purposes under a plan designed to provide databases of ministries (agriculture, water resources, environment).
Yusuf said that "step adopted by the Ministry to launch a satellite containing two tracks, the first set of human capacities that will work on the satellite, and the second track is to implement procedures that precede the process of approaching States manufactured satellites."
The Minister noted that "the second satellite will be more responsive to economic requirements, and will be able to answer all the questions the ministries of agriculture, environment and water resources, snhedv of the satellite select desertified land tracts, and control of pollution in the air, and ongoing surveys of agricultural land, such actions cannot be performed via the human resources they need technology such as satellites to accomplish."
And Joseph "ask relevant ministries to provide us with the information to be obtained from satellite, and we in turn will include the specifications of the satellite before approaching the satellite manufacturer States", adding: "the satellite will cost after the bahatiagtha ministries provide databases to be provided by the satellite".
