Abadi’s advisor calls Ministry of Defense to prepare

On Saturday, the prime minister’s advisor for security affairs, Adnan al-Asadi asked the Ministry of Defense to prepare for the provision of the necessary arrangements of re-compulsory service in Iraq, as he emphasized that this project will provide competent and patriotic fighters and eliminate sectarianism.
Asadi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Ministry of Defense has to prepare for the provision of the necessary arrangements for the reintroduction of compulsory service in Iraq,” noting that, “This needs some time to prepare the necessary camps and to build the infrastructure and logistics for this project.”
Asadi added, “This project will provide the country with competent and patriotic fighters with less cost,” adding that, “We will eliminate sectarianism that seeks to categorize the army elements.”
