Abadi: We Will Not Allow Weapons Outside State

Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi stressed that the government will not allow weapon in the hands of armed groups and militias outside the framework of the state and this is what has been confirmed repeatedly emphasized by the religious authorities.
Abadi said during a meeting at his office yesterday, with House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, Vice President, Osama Nujaifi, and Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq, according to a statement by his press office today: We are determined to prosecute offenders, criminals and bring them to justice to receive their just punishment.
The statement noted " the conferees discussed developments in the political and security situation taking place in the country in addition to the implementation of the government program.
Attendees agreed on the importance of the consolidation of national unity and the rejection of discrimination and sectarian and stand as one against those who want to disturb relations between citizens of one nation.
