BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Ban Ki-moon in a telephone call with al-Abadi, welcomes the efforts of the Iraqi government to protect civilians and the security forces and the popular crowd and facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid to the local population also welcomed the efforts of the government to the attention of the liberated areas.
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a phone call, on Wednesday, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and discussed the two sides to help Iraq in its war against Daash and the issue of Iraqi antiquities.

The statement noted that "Ki-moon touched on the issue of Iraqi antiquities, referring to the United Nations following the destruction of Iraqi antiquities and smuggling by the terrorist organization Daash, since these effects are for all mankind, and do everything in our power to protect them."
