Kuwaiti Oil Minister: No plans for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting

Kuwait's oil minister said his country was committed at current production rates, and he sees no reason to hold an emergency session of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), despite the decline in oil prices. The news agency quoted the official Kuwait (KUNA) Oil Minister Ali Al-Omair as saying on Thursday that there was no reason to hold an emergency meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, consisting of 12 countries to re-evaluate the strategy before its next scheduled meeting in June.
