Obeidi: Basra will be the first province demilitarized and disclaim weapon conflicting tribes

Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi, said on Saturday that Basra province will be the first province demilitarized, and among that his visit to the province to monitor the performance of land, sea and air military forces, he stressed that the security forces will evacuate weapon tribal conflicts that happen between them. The defense minister said Khalid al-Obeidi told a news conference during his visit to Basra Operations Command and attended (range Press) that "Basra will be the first province demilitarized because the weapon if, however, outside the state would negatively affect the security situation," adding that "clashes clan has to be dealt with and resolved believes in the case of security and stability in the province. He called al-Obeidi, a "positive engagement by the security forces with the population," noting that "for tribal clashes emphasizes the need to take the role of security forces forcibly to reduce confuse the security situation in the province."
Obeidi said that "he had discussed with the governor of Basra and the leaders of security in Basra Operations Command Headquarters perform land and sea military forces and the Army Aviation and military segments that are under training and stand on the problems related to the maintenance of border control."
For his part, the governor of Basra Majed Nasraoui said in an interview to the (long-Presse), "The security forces in the province of the military, police and Army Aviation will be the second phase of disarmament," pointing out that "the first stage, carried out the security forces in which confiscation of medium and heavy weapons and arresting wanted ".
He Nasraoui that "each family is entitled possession of firearms and one type of light with 30 rounds at the moment, but in the event of a tribal conflict with a clan disclaim them any weapons because they do not deserve to possess any weapon, even if the type of light."
The visit of the Minister of Defense Khalid al-Obeidi to Basra is the first after his accession to the post of Minister of Defense, where was accompanied by the commander of ground forces, Lt. Gen. Zia Jalal and a number of military commanders and included a visit to the field found on the naval base at Umm Qasr south of Basra and the air base in Shuaiba west as well as visit a border headquarters in Basra.
