Parliamentary Finance: Central Bank is responsible for keeping deposits citizens

Parliamentary Finance Committee, said on Saturday that the central bank is responsible for keeping the financial deposits of citizens in private banks.
Said committee member Najiba Najib's "Qurtas News", that "the functions and tasks of the central bank is monitoring the private banks and the follow-up work as well as monetary and fiscal policies of the country's fee, so all that exists of the financial deposits of citizens in private banks into the custody of the Central Bank," she said "The Mithar today that private banks Mtosrha and inflexible, not true testimony of the central bank as it has a good financial position, for this is no fear on deposits of citizens."
Najib said, "She enjoyed by banks from good cash flow does not mean it has reached the level of ambition, both in the bank's dealings with clients ordinary or with projects, they are still surrounded by the decisions to prevent the exercise of the financial right," and indicated that "required from the Central Bank to activate Some laws that promised to pay for the legislation, including the keeping of financial deposit law, and recommended that a certain government deposits at private banks. "
The banking system consists in Iraq from 43 banks, as well as the Central Bank, and distributed according to government ownership between seven and 30 waged, including the Islamic seven, as well as six foreign banks, by 600 branch across the country.
