Kubis: Sistani assures importance of supporting Iraqi Government

The Head of UN Assistance Mission in Iraq UNAMI, Jan Kubis, after meeting the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah, Ali al-Sistani, stated that the latter assures the importance of supporting the Iraqi government and aiding the displaced citizens.
In a press conference, Kubis said “In my first visit to Sistani, I found him the person who represents a spiritual leader for all the Iraqis and his messages are for all of them.”
“We discussed several issues and he assured on the importance of supporting the Iraqi government and the displaced citizens,” he added noting that “We are going on in supporting the displaced citizens till settling the security crisis.” /End
