Zebari, Lagarde discuss reformed steps to address budget deficit

Finance Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed with the director of International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, the reformed steps in financial and economic fields to lessen the financial crisis.
The Finance Ministry, in a statement received by AIN, reported that “a closed meeting held yesterday between Zebari, the directors of Central Banks and the Iraqi ambassador in Washington with Lagarde and officials of Monetary Fund, discussing the economic and financial situations in middle east and north Africa.”
The statement added that “both discussed the reflections of oil prices crisis on the countries of oil exporter and importer and the economic and financial situations in middle east and north Africa to lessen the financial crisis, address the budget deficit and impose fair taxes .” /End/
