Mahmoud al-Jubouri discuss with the independence of the judiciary and the separation of powers

Discuss House Speaker Saleem al-Jubouri, Wednesday, the Supreme Judicial Council with the Council of Chief Justice Medhat al-Mahmoud the principle of independence of the judiciary and the separation of powers and coordination to support the democratic process in Iraq.
Jubouri said Office in a statement issued after a meeting with Chief Justice Medhat al-Mahmoud, said that "Parliament Speaker Salim al discussed with Mahmoud Iraqi scene in general, and the relationship between the legislative and judicial branches, and ways of cooperation between them according to the Constitution and laws serve the public interest."
He added, that "the meeting, they discussed cooperation frameworks for the completion of important laws for people's rights and interests of national security, as well as discuss the principle of the independence of the judiciary and the separation of powers, and joint coordination to support the democratic process in Iraq."
The head of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Iraqi Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud earlier, the independence of the Iraqi judiciary from the executive branch, and on the back of arrest warrant issued against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, which caused a political crisis in the country, in what analysts called for the application of Article 89 of the Constitution.
