BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Deputy President of the Republic Nuri al-Maliki on Tuesday that Iraq foiled all plans that were designed to stir up sedition and sectarianism among his sons, noting that Iraq has a great design in the elimination of "terrorism Daash" and eradicate it completely.
Maliki's office said in a statement seen "obelisk", "The First Vice President of the Republic Nuri al-Maliki received today in his office in Baghdad, Ambassador of Kuwait Ghassan Al-Zawawi," noting that "the two sides discussed bilateral ties and means of enhancing them to serve the interests of both peoples."
Maliki confirmed, according to the statement, that "the depth of historical relations between Iraq and Kuwait is an important and vital in sustaining the joint bilateral relations and development factor".
He added that "Iraq foiled all plans that were designed to stir up sedition and sectarianism among his sons," adding that "he has a great design in the eradication of terrorism and Daash eradicated completely."
For his part, Zawawi confirmed "his government's support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism," pointing out that "Iraq was able during the last period of the restoration of relations with the countries of the region and the world and succeeded in building strong relationships based on mutual respect."
Iraq has been an extraordinary security situation, the security as military operations continue to expel the organization "Daash" of areas where the spread, as the international coalition carried out air strikes targeting the organization sites in those areas expect casualties in its ranks.
