Baghdad Investment: the issuance of more than 300 investment license

Baghdad Investment Commission announced the issuance leave about 300 investment in various sectors, while suggesting to the lack of access to the validity of the allocation of land pointed out that the delay procuring approvals due to actions of other parties.
The head of the Investment Commission of Baghdad, Shaker al-Zamili, in an interview with "Today's News" that "the Commission has issued nearly 300 investment license distributed to the trade, industry and housing, tourism, education and health sectors."
He continued by saying "We are working with the designs for the Baghdad Municipality Department, and that the nature of the projects specified by the design basis for the city of Baghdad," pointing out that "we depend on the investment map to determine the actual need of the projects."
He said the "what determines the extent of our acceptance of the investment project, are the conditions and requirements of the Investment Law No. 13 of 2006 amended, offering companies a feasibility study and financial efficiency and preliminary designs and against which decides body" pointing out that "the delay procuring approvals due to actions of other parties." He attributed the problems relating to the Commission not to provide good services for the investor "to the body's lack of authority to the allocation of land," noting that "the imbalance is not a law but not fully implemented."
He noted that "the Board has nearly 135 turned off the project due to lack of contract and delivery of the land and not to ratify procedure is completed, because of bureaucratic procedures rampant in official circles," pointing out that "the delay of these projects means delay nearly 200 thousand jobs and delay the revenues of the state and disrupt the development process."
He continued by saying that he "was handed over land for nearly 130 investment projects and began work and nearly 40 projects completed 100% completion rates." The Ministry of Planning was announced earlier this month to issue an investment license in 1067 since 2008.
