Held oil minister Adel Abdul Mahdi talks with the President of Azerbaijan for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. A statement by the Ministry of Oil that "Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to the course of relations in the field of energy and ways of developing them." Also discussed with the Minister of Oil and Energy Minister of Azerbaijan to open new horizons for investment and technician training Iraqis to sophisticated means in oil extraction. importance of cooperation with Azerbaijan, which will be reflected positively on the reality of the oil industry and oil infrastructure facilities. Mr. oil minister said the ministry's keenness to create safe environment to attract investments flowing into the oil sector and elevate the interests of the oil industry in the country. The statement added that Mr. Adel Mahdi met with Oil and Gas Company of Azerbaijan, saying his country seeks to strengthen relations and economic cooperation between the two countries and to achieve their interests, noting the existence of understandings to sign a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding in different areas. He pointed out that Iraq is keen to open new horizons for cooperation with Azerbaijan, which will be reflected positively on the reality of the oil industry and oil infrastructure facilities to create a safe environment to attract investments flowing into the oil sector interest and elevate the oil industry in the country. "He called on the oil minister Azerbaijani companies to invest in the areas of Iraqi energy. Meanwhile, Mr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi discussed with the head of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan {SOCAR} cooperation in the field of energy. According to a statement of the ministry that "the oil minister met with the President of the Azerbaijani state oil company {SOCAR} Luster Abdullah Lieve in Baku and discussed with him cooperation in the field of energy.
