Central Bank: the fluctuation rate of the dinar is normal

The CBI said on Tuesday that the oscillation in the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against the dollar is not uncommon, among some banking and remittance companies are not obliged to pay eight percent in taxes and customs imposed proportion of traders.
A member of the The Board of Directors Majid picture for «Twilight News», that «the volatility currently in the unusual market due to the addition of 8% ratio Customs and taxes collected by banks from merchants», adding that «there is speculation by the owners of banking companies».
He said the picture that « owners of banking companies and financial transformation does not have the right to add 8%, but traders, but they add not committed to pay to the government ».
The Iraqi central bank decided Monday to deprive 14 banks from entering the window of sale and purchase of foreign currency to non-payment of taxes due on them.
The bank attributed the reason decision to «failure to pay all amounts discharged deductions for tax and customs secretariats and transferred to the General Authority for taxes and the General Authority of Customs».
