Velayati: Next Week Will See Significant Developments

The Head of Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council in Iran, Ali Akbar Velayati said next week will see a significant development in regional relations between the three countries, Iran, Syria and Iraq.
He said during a meeting in Tehran with the Syrian Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Sha’ar, that Iran and Syria share deep fraternal relations and are still ongoing.
He stressed Iran’s support position for Syria in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Velayati said, Syria has always been in the first trench in the face of the Zionist entity, and it is currently facing its tools and its mercenaries and the terrorist abolitionist project, which aims to hit the center of resistance in the region and weaken it for the benefit of the Zio-American project in the region.
He stressed that terrorists and their supporters will not be able to achieve their goals in Syria and the region no matter how they increased their terror, expressing confidence that the victory would be an ally of the Syrian people who survived and rallied around its army and its leadership. / End
