Parliamentary Finance: will not cut the salaries of senior officials, but the enactment of laws

Tomorrow Press / Baghdad: the parliamentary finance committee, confirmed Tuesday that reduce the salaries of senior officials in the state needs to enact a law, an advocate for social justice among Iraqis. A member of the parliamentary finance committee, Jabbar Abdul Khaliq, for "tomorrow Press", that "the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi responded to calls by the parliamentary finance committee to reduce the three presidencies allocations and salaries of officials," noting that "the reduction of salaries of officials needs to enact a law to do so by Parliament ". He added that "the draft law submitted to the Council of Ministers of the Council of Representatives or submit a proposal to the law of the parliament for approval," pointing out that "is ready to enact the law as soon as possible of the Finance Committee, upon arrival to the parliament." He pointed out that "reducing the salaries of officials does not constitute a significant burden on the budget, but our calls for a reduction for social justice," stressing that "there are very significant differences between the officials and the employees' salaries."
