The Council of Ministers approved, on Tuesday, to cut the prime minister and his deputies' salaries by 50% and the allocation of agents ministers and advisers and those with special grades of 40%, and while pointing out that the President of the Republic salary and the House of Representatives will be by the Prime Minister, the implementation of the resolution starting from the beginning of next August.
The council said in a statement that "the Council agreed during its regular 29th on the top positions and the three presidencies to reduce the salaries," calling "the Ministry of Finance and the Office of Financial Supervision and financial units in presidencies and ministries and departments not associated with the Ministry, the implementation of the reduction decision starting from 08/01/2015."
The statement added that the prime minister and his deputies will cut their salaries by 50%, "noting that" the amount received by the President and the Chairman of the House of Representatives by salary and allowances of the Prime Minister. "
The statement pointed out that "the salaries and allowances of the Vice-President and Vice-President of the House of Representatives would be cut in salary and allowances of the Deputy Prime Minister," explaining "the minister reduce allocations and their grade and earn their salaries by 45%."
