Ban called on the Government to achieve national reconciliation and respect for human rights

The UN official called on Iraq's leaders, politicians "to accelerate the adoption of a framework for national reconciliation is supported by a broad political and societal, and accelerate the implementation of the political agreement national and ministerial program, and without delay adopt legislation to support the national reconciliation process."
He urged both the Government of Iraq and the KRG to continue oil and revenue sharing agreement, reached in December 2014.
