It was announced by former finance minister, Hoshyar Zebari, in (12 December 2014), that the final payment of damages amounting to $ 4.6 billion. The Kuwait announced, in (18 December 2014), approval of the request for Iraq to postpone the payment of the last batch of the Gulf War reparations.
