The Commission on integrity in the House of representatives, said Sunday that the Iraqi Government had not imposed in accordance with the federal budget taxes on mobile phone companies.
Committee Member said in an interview with the ARAMIS "trend that mobile phone companies have formal contracts with the Government and a certain percentage of taxes the Government cannot overcome, noting that the Government imposed taxes on citizens and even obtained this tax to be a responsible party can deal with it and get this money as taxes imposed on a citizen.
The Government based the budget bill considered, adding 2,000 dinars on handset card estimated 10,000 dinars, 1000 dinars to the estimated price of the card is 5,000 dinars, so the existing taxes are taxes on citizens by Government and not by the mobile phone companies that do not have any income or a relationship, rather than on the one hand the Government can hold them and the collection of funds was through a collection of citizens.
The House with this procedure as it has become among the enacting legislation, although such action would impose on the citizen burden too heavy especially if implemented and applied on the ground, and the Government was late in applying paragraphs of the budget these days and started its implementation until signs of resentment and lack of acceptance from citizens is self-evident.
Reference is made to that mobile phone companies had announced Friday the imposition of taxes and fees on postcards tired balance, 20% of nominal installed on shipping labels.
