Al-Jubouri: Iraq and Iran require joint action to stop terrorism

Shafaq News / The Iraqi Parliament Speaker , Salim al-Jubouri hold on Saturday afternoon a round of talks in Tehran with the Head of Islamic Shura council , Ali Larijani.
Larijani and al-Jubouri discussed the latest regional developments and ways to combat terrorism and stressed the need to raise the level of bilateral cooperation, particularly at the parliamentary level.
Jubouri said after the meeting that “Iraq and Iran have an important role in regional security and the spread of terrorism requires joint action.”
Larijani said that “Iran helped Iraq in facing terrorism at its request and we will continue it.”
The Iraqi Parliament Speaker had started yesterday an official visit to Tehran at the head of a parliamentary delegation to meet a number of senior Iranian officials.
