Baghdad Council implemented a campaign to raise 50 an encroachment on the water network

said the Baghdad Provincial Council member Ali Ahmed Faraj, said that the local government in Baghdad and in cooperation with Baghdad's water directorate and the Department of the Municipality of Baghdad carried out a campaign during which he was able to raise 50 exceeded all the water network in Baghdad.
He said Faraj, that "east of the canal areas of Baghdad, is the most encroachment on water systems, and most of the abuses have been filed," adding that "there are excesses in large areas of Karkh been completely removed."

The member of the Baghdad Provincial Council, that "the excesses caused water pollution in some areas of Baghdad, and was a major cause of the spread of cholera."
