Iraq appreciates again the position of the State of Kuwait to postpone the payment of war reparations for another year and that this will help Iraq in the number of balancing practical and realistic.

Zebari stressed the need for 'cooperation in the economic and financial fields for the interest of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and the need for Iraq to support his brothers all politically and economically at this stage to confront and defeat terrorism and to overcome the current economic challenges'.
The postponement is the second after Iraq's request in October 172 014 postpone the payment of $ 4.6 billion in compensation from the destruction of oil facilities in Kuwait during the occupation of the country in 1990-1991lsndouk Gulf War reparations for a year.
