The Council of Ministers approved, last Sunday, the draft budget for fiscal year 2016 Act, amounting to 106 trillion Iraqi dinars (equivalent to US $ 90.9 billion) and a deficit of 23 trillion dinars (equivalent to US $ 19.7 billion).
Said Najiba Najib's (IMN), said that "between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government the problem on the export of oil is a political, not legal, and when the Council of Ministers approved the federal budget bill and kept the oil agreement between the two parties under the terms of the project, it means that there is a tendency to end the political dispute. "
Najib explained that "the House of Representatives will not enter the political differences between Baghdad and Erbil when discussing the federal budget project on the grounds that the Agreement on the oil item add cabinet, which includes representatives of the National Alliance, the political blocs and the Union of Kurdistan forces."
And it adopted the 2016 budget on the sale of oil at $ 45 per barrel and export at a rate of 3.5 million barrels per day, while maintaining the oil agreement between Baghdad and Erbil on the proportion of 17% and export of B550 thousand barrels of oil per day.
