Integrity criminal court sentences former Minister of Environment Sargon Lazar Salioh imprisonment for a term of two years

BAGHDAD / Sky Press: Integrity issued a criminal court in Rusafa, Thursday, and Jahia severe sentence of imprisonment for two years against the former Minister of Environment Sargon Lazar Salioh for corruption charges.
The head of the court, Judge Jumaa al-Saadi said in a statement received "Skaas Press" that "the Court has considered a case concerning the former Minister of Environment Sargon Lazar Salioh on charges related to corruption."
He added that he "decided to sentence him and Jahia severe imprisonment for a period of two years," pointing out that "the decision was made in accordance with Article 340 of the Penal Law No. 111 of 1969".
Saadi pointed out that "the court ordered the convict to pay $ 338 million to the state treasury, which is now the applicant in prison serving his sentence."
