Shipping: the government did not invest shipping revenue parallel of oil revenues

Shipping Media Manager Murtaza Rumaidh, Wednesday, that the financial revenue for maritime transport comparable to oil revenues, but the government has not exploited and invest it properly, noting that Iraq has four international ships for transport have not invested yet.
Rumaidh said in a statement seen by our economy news agency, said that "the State making the maritime transport is the national carrier adopted in the event of receipt of goods in order to promote the economic reality and save a lot of fiscal revenue to the state treasury."
He added that "Iraq has 4 international and world-class ships and Iraqi experts under the supervision of a newly manufactured," noting that "shipping will save a lot of money to the state treasury compared to private transport, which the state acted upon many of the billions of dollars."
He pointed out that "the shipping department have insurance through which cargo insurance and life", calling on the government to pay attention to the "maritime transport and support for the advancement of the country."
