Jordan's looking to extend an oil pipeline with Baghdad and Cairo

Jordan's King Abdullah II on Sunday that his country looks forward to the completion of a project to extend the Iraqi crude oil pipeline, from the ports of Basra, far south of Iraq, to export terminals in the port of Aqaba, the far south of the Kingdom on the Red Sea coast.
A statement from the Royal Jordanian Court that King Abdullah expressed, during his meeting Sunday at the Palace of Husseiniya, Iraqi Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, and the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Egyptian Tarek Al-Mulla, from the "aspiration of Jordan for the completion of a project to extend the seminal Iraqi oil pipeline residence between Basra and Aqaba down to the land Egyptian coasts.
"He stressed" the need to take advantage of Jordan's position as a strategic corridor for energy in the region. "
