Integrity: Adjustment of the treatment of agricultural loans in excess of two billion dinars, which is subject to a combination of guarantees

The Integrity Commission announced on Tuesday the seizure of an agricultural loan disbursed with false guarantees at the Agricultural Cooperative Bank - Baquba branch in Diyala province.
"The arrest was carried out under an arrest warrant issued by the investigating judge competent to look into the cases of integrity in Baquba," the statement said.
He added that "the seizure came after receiving information on the existence of an agricultural loan disbursed with false real estate guarantees, a waste of public money amounted to 2 billion and 350 million dinars."
The statement pointed out that "the staff of the investigation office of the Commission in the province moved to the Agricultural Bank - Branch Baquba, they were able to control the original loan treatment, including real estate guarantees, which are forged vouchers of two billion dinars each.
The Commission revealed in the twelfth of last month that it was able to control 46 transactions for agricultural loans disbursed under one billion and 130 million dinars, contrary to the controls and instructions at the Agricultural Cooperative Bank - Muqdadiya branch in Diyala province of deceased people and others without their knowledge.
It is worth mentioning that the Integrity Commission last November called on the Ministry of Finance to put an end to the administrative and financial corruption that affect the granting of agricultural loans in branches of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank.
