President of the Republic Barham Salih said on Wednesday that the stability of Iraq is a fundamental factor for the security of the region.
He pointed out that Iraq with its Arab depth and its Islamic side is a priority in achieving regional stability.
"Saleh received today, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Yusuf bin Alawi and the delegation accompanying him," the presidency said in a statement received by Alsumaria News.
Saleh stressed during the meeting that "Iraq with its Arab depth and its Islamic environment is a priority in achieving regional stability in accordance with the mutual interests and shared among the countries of the region."
